Flight delayed or cancelled? You may be owed up to €600

European regulation EU261 makes airlines pay fixed compensation for long delays, cancellations and denied boarding — and it covers flights from Georgia to Europe on any airline, and flights back on European airlines. Our partner Flyhelp checks your flight for free and handles the whole claim; you pay only if the money arrives.

When you are entitled

Delay of 3 hours or more

Measured at arrival, at the final destination. A 2h55m delay does not qualify; 3h00m does.

Cancellation

Told less than 14 days before departure — unless the airline offered a re-route that landed close to the original time.

Denied boarding

Overbooked and left behind against your will, with a valid ticket and on time at the gate.

Missed connection

When one ticket covered both flights and the first one’s delay made you miss the second.

Not covered: extraordinary circumstances the airline could not avoid — severe weather, air-traffic-control strikes, security risks. Airline technical problems and crew shortages are NOT extraordinary; those are claimable.

How much

Flight distancePer passengerExample
up to 1,500 km€250Tbilisi – Istanbul, Kutaisi – Warsaw

What to keep

  • Your boarding pass and booking confirmation.
  • Receipts for meals, hotel or transport the delay forced on you — these are refundable separately.
  • The airline’s own message about the delay or cancellation, if you got one.
